Michael is the principal architect in the practice and oversees all projects. A native Frenchman, after qualifying as an Architect Michael worked in Paris for several years before joining John Seifert Architects, a large practice in London specialising in luxury hotels, where he worked for 6 years. He started his own business in Valbonne, France in 2006.

His portfolio of work includes Thalès Alenia Space, the Carlton hotel in Cannes, the Grand Hotel in St Jean Cap Ferrat and the Hilton in Reading. He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and is registered to practice both in France and England.

Michael is bilingual in French and English and is married to an English wife. He is a keen sailor, loves modern art and is a great fan of British humour.

Nita takes the role of Project Architect for many of our English-speaking clients. She qualified as an Architect in 1998 in London and worked on many architectural projects in England including private housing in Harpenden, the Bristol Harbourside masterplan (residential, office and leisure facilities) and an elderly care home in St Albans before moving to France in 2006.

She has hidden musical talents (piano Grade 5 and DJ skills), speaks two Indian languages as well as English, and has a Brown Belt in karate!

Gaëlle is Project Architect for many of our French-speaking projects. Her clients include Thalès Alenia Space, for whom she has carried out a wide variety of projects. She is also involved in many of our residential works and has expertise in contemporary housing, urban development and town planning.  She is particularly knowledgeable in the area of planning applications, due to her work for the Service D'Urbanisme in the Mairie of Gilette.

Gaëlle enjoys walking, draws and paints in her spare time and is highly creative in the kitchen (“I put a lot of ingredients together and hope they end up as something edible...!”).

Damien takes the role of project architect on several of our French speaking hotel and residential projects.  His clients include the Ibis Aix en Provence, Club Maintenon in Cannes and the Casino of Monte Carlo. He has also worked on the Gare de Paris Lyon .

He enjoys sailing and hiking, and is also an enthusiastic socialiser in his spare time.

Janet is responsible for marketing and general administration. She spent 10 years working in marketing for ICI Paints in the UK, Malaysia and Europe, latterly as European Marketing Manager. She also worked as Project Director for Added Value Marketing Consultancy and as Marketing Controller for Signet, the largest jewellery retailer in the UK, before moving to France in 2006.

Janet enjoys cooking and playing the piano. She and Michael also have two small children, who keep both parents firmly under control when not at work.

On large scale projects with complex cost or project management requirements (particularly hotels) MZArchitecture often works closely with Thorne Wheatley Associés. TWA offer bilingual services including quantity surveying, cost management and project management. They have over 25 years of experience in these fields and their client list includes Hotel Hermitage, Monaco, The Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, Hotel Intercontinental Carlton in Cannes, the Residence of the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Paris and Crédit Foncier, Monaco.
