Michael Zander Architecture is an architectural practice specialising in luxury hotels, restaurants and villas, based in Valbonne in the south of France. With over 15 years in practice Michael Zander has carried out projects for many of the most prestigious hotels in the world, including the Grand Hotel in St Jean Cap Ferrat and the Carlton in Cannes, as well as many private luxury villas on the French Riviera.

Our team includes French, English and Russian speaking architects, all with a wealth of experience in the region. The principal architect, Michael Zander, is registered to practice both in France and in Britain, and is a member of RIBA, the Royal Institute of British Architects.

We work on a varied range of projects, from home extensions, refurbishments and interior design right through to hotel and commercial premises construction. As English speaking architects on the Côte d’Azur we also frequently act as local architect in charge of planning and site supervision for overseas architects with projects in the south of France. We are based near Cannes and cover areas including Nice, Paris and Monaco.

Our work comes mainly from personal recommendation – many of our clients are ‘veterans’ who have already worked with us on several projects. Whatever the size of project we spend time with each client to understand the type of design and architecture that inspires them, their practical needs and their budget. MZArchitecture can be involved as much as the client wishes – from architectural or interior design only, through to planning applications, contractor tenders and site supervision.
